After winning the match against Namibia and Zimbabwe, Harambee Stars are now going to face Cameroon in an AFCON qualifier. According to reports, the match is set to be held in Yaoundé on Friday evening.

To be specific, the two giants will face off at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaoundé, Cameroon. The stadium is one of the biggest in the country and it is used mostly for football matches and it also has athletics facilities.

The match is said to be a very tough one since the hosts won’t tolerate losing and on the other side, Harambee Stars are also determined to win the game. This means that Cameroon has a lot of pressure to make sure that they win this game for themselves and the country at large.

Why Harambee Stars still have a long way to go

At exactly 7:00 PM East African Time, Kenyans will gather in clubs, homes, and restaurants just to see the match which will determine if they will be qualifying for next year’s tournament in Morocco.

According to sources like pulsesports.co.ke, Kenyans will get the chance to watch  the match live on KBC TV from the 7 pm (Kenyan time) kick-off as Firat’s side searches for points. In addition, the match will also be broadcast across six KBC radio stations for supporters who will not be able to catch it on TV.

Harambee Stars Captain Michael Olunga will be on the field to face Cameroon after a recovery from Injury. Unfortunately, Olunga missed last month’s matches against Zimbabwe and Namibia. Upon his return, the team kind of feels boosted and is ready to face their opponent at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaoundé.

When asked about the match, this is what Firat had to say ;

“We know how hard it will be, but I think we are at a level where only the details will decide the outcome. I don’t believe it will be easy for Cameroon, even with their full-strength squad.”

“This time I’m happy that we only have a few players missing, compared to before when we had many absentees.”
